LAHORE, Aug 28: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will take a decision on devolution of various ministries to provinces under the 18th amendment if the federal government fails to resolve the issue soon.
Punjab chief minister and PML-N leader Shahbaz Sharif said this here on Sunday while talking to the media after inaugurating phase-II of the Lahore Ring Road project.
He told a questioner that despite setting up a special committee under the chairmanship of federal minister Naveed Qamar to resolve the issue, federal government made no progress in this regard.
He said that he had talked to the prime minister on the issue in the recent meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CII) and Mr Gilani told him that another meeting of ‘Naveed Qamar committee’ would be held shortly to resolve the problem.
The chief minister said if the issue was not resolved, the PML-N would take further decision.
To a query about law and order in Punjab, he said that all out resources were being utilised sincerely for the purpose in the province, however, there was always room for improvement.
He said there was a need to foil the nefarious designs of internal and external enemies of the country through the force of unity at this crucial point.
Earlier, Mr Sharif unveiled the plaque to inaugurate Ghazi Road Interchange of the Ring Road.
