Ministry of commerce operationalized Afghan Transit Trade via Gwadar Port under APTTA 2010. Shipments for Sugar, Fertilizers and Wheat will be transported in sealed trucks to Afghanistan. 16000 MT DAP and WFP cargo 500,000 MT Wheat for Afghanistan will arrive next month. On going development work at Gwadar Port and Gwadar Free Zone area, so far 8 factories in Free Zone South, Including Steel Pipe Factory, Metal Recycling, Eedible Oil, E-Bike manufacturing and Fish Processing. Operations to start soon, 100s of Jobs being created for Gwadar locals.
