A 5 million gallon desalination plant is ready in Gwadar to supply water to the local public, under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Rs. 80 paisa per gallon will be charge to the residents of Gwadar.

As per head of China Port Holding, plant will be open from 1st January 2018, which will provide clean drinking water to people of Gwadar. He also added Expo Center in Gwadar has been completed and it will be inaugurated on 28th January 2018. Also various other buildings in the Free Zone will be inaugurated sometime in next month.
