G-9 facing acute water shortage

The largest residential area of Islamabad in G-9/2 is facing extreme shortage of water, residents say.

The residents protested against the Capital Development Authority for failure to supply sufficient water in the area.

They said that they have been receiving water for an hour in two days for more than three months. The people used to store water but it has been more than one week that there’s extreme shortage of water.

The residents said that the spillways of the Simly and Rawal dams were opened this year due to heavy rains but the CDA is not providing its share of water to the residents of G-9/2.

The residents of Karachi Company also appealed to the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and other concerned officials to ensure supply of water.
