LAHORE – Under ‘Jinnah Abadi Scheme’ file work for distribution of 5 marlas land to shelterless people at rural level has been completed.
The scheme will soon be launched and dream of own home of poor rural people would be materialised. Committees are being constituted at Tehsil level so that distribution of land could be made in a transparent manner.
These views were expressed by Provincial Minister for Revenue Haji Muhammad Ishaq while presiding over a departmental meeting, here on Thursday. He said this scheme could not be completed in the past but practical work had been completed in this regard and soon Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would announce to launch 5 marla ‘Jinnah Abadi Scheme’. He said state land was looted mercilessly in the past and the residents of Katchi Abadis were thrown out and markets and houses were constructed over there and sold out on heavy prices.
