Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Administrator Brig. Khalid Tirmizi visited Zamzama residential and commercial areas on Tuesday night to see the effects of the newly-introduced modern civic concepts in the area.

Zamzama commercial and residential localities have been earmarked as model areas, where the new contemporary civic services concept of night sweeping, solid waste management and maintenance of civic utilities round the clock has recently been introduced on an experimental basis. “My waste, my responsibility” is the main theme of the concept which envisages active involvement of residents in the entire process.

Brig. Tirmzi said that the experimental introduction of the cleaning project in Zamzama commercial and residential areas has been an astounding success. He added that the project would be extended to all areas under the jurisdiction of the DHA and the Cantonment Board Clifton.
