LAHORE: WAPDA officials have started construction of an illegal Grid Station in the Journalists Colony Lahore at a place reserved for a public park and a lake. It has transpired that WAPDA has also started a boundary wall there for the said grid station at 35 kanal land out of a total 120 kanals in the Journalists Housing Foundation for which the Lahore Development Authority and Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) have already prepared estimate and tenders, to be issued in the press. When contacted, WAPDA concerned officials and the Director Public Relation remained unavailable for comments.
