Oman mulls ferry service to Pakistan

Plans are underway to launch a ferry service between Oman and Pakistan in a bid to bolster trade, the Pakistani Prime Minister has said.
The ferry service will operate between Gwadar and Muscat and will transport goods between the two countries, Yousuf Raza Gilani told a press conference in Muscat.

“Reinvigorating our bilateral relations would help in further expanding economic and trade cooperation,” Gilani was quoted as saying by Times of Oman newspaper.

The announcement formed part of a series of deals signed between Omani and Pakistani authorities spanning areas such as defence, labour and manpower.
