ISLAMABAD, Mar 22 (APP): Residents of capital city demanded of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to upgrade and repair the playgrounds of the city.Several playgrounds are in dilapidated condition due to lukewarm attitude of the concerned authorities.Ahmed Ali, a resident of Sector G-7 Islamabad said that most of the playground and parks need repairing and maintenance.
He said that most of the youngster can be seen playing on the green belts and in streets, creating problems for the commuters and vehicles.Another, resident said the authorities should establish more grounds and parks in the capital city to facilitate the youngsters.
“I think through sports youngsters can learn about life in positive way,” a school teacher Muhammad Asad told APP. “It teaches you so many things. It keeps you out of trouble”, he said.
“For children to develop a lifelong healthy attitude to physical activity, it will take a concerted effort from many groups working together to find long-lasting solutions,” he remarked.
