The Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, has achieved the distinction of being the first tertiary care hospital in the public sector to get ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certification from the prestigious international accreditation agencies.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, four departments, Pathology Department, Radiology and Diagnostic Department, Accident & Emergency Department and Dialysis Center, have currently been accredited while the accreditation of other departments is in progress.
In this connection, a ceremony will be organized for official announcement of the accreditation at the Conference Room of Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, at 1 pm on Tuesday (today). Secretary Health Anwaar A Khan, as chief guest, along with AIMC/JHL Principal Prof Dr Javed Akram will announce the accreditation, while MNA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, MPA Zaeem Qadri will be the guests of honor.
