The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to construct the Islamabad Club in F-12 sector at a cost of Rs 1 billion.
CDA Chairman Kamran Lashari said that the authority had acquired 70 acres for the project and the club would be constructed on 40 acres, adding that on the remaining 30 acres of land, a hospital under a private-public partnership scheme would be built. He said that the initial design of the project had been prepared.
He said that the contract for the construction of a park in F-9 sector at a cost of Rs 250 million had been awarded and the project would be completed in one year. He said that construction work on the Ladies Club in Sector G-10 would also begin soon. He said that the plans of sports centres in E-7, I-9, G-7 and G-8 sectors had also been approved, which would have all sports facilities, including swimming pools. He said that the estimated cost of the construction of four sports clubs and one ladies club was Rs 1 billion.
