LAHORE: Vice-Chancellor of University of Health Sciences (UHS) Prof MH Mubbashar has said that benefits of science and recent advances in medicine should reach the common man and, therefore, there was a need to identify new areas of indigenous research. He was addressing at a seminar arranged by haematology department of the University here on Saturday.
He said that advancement in different fields of science had always benefitted mankind. Knowledge and best practices in haematology, like other medical sciences, were constantly changing and these changes were gradually bringing qualitative revolution in the lives of patients suffering from various blood disorders such as haemophilia, von Willebrand disease and thalasemia major.
